Clearing away the cobwebs

18 Jun

I knew this year would be more about sewing, but I hadn’t thought I’d lose my knitting mojo so completely. I haven’t picked up a pair of needles in months. Right now I’m staring at a cake of sock yarn I’ve had in my stash for a while. But really … I’m feeling pretty uninspired by yarn these days.

But while I”ve been allowing cobwebs to gather in my little corner of the interwebs, I’ve been clearing the cobwebs away from my abandoned sewing projects; I finished that blazer. It’s totally not my style, and I don’t think it’ll stay in my wardrobe for long, but it was a cheap lesson in construction and very good for identifying things I need to work on. I also finally finished the finishing on a dress I started last summer. If it’s hot tomorrow, I’ll wear it out and have Dan take some pictures tomorrow.

In the meantime, please enjoy this tour of Ireland.

Don’t worry about not knitting for a while. It’ll come back, probably when the weather gets back towards autumn/winter. Love, Love, LOVE the Irish photos. FABULOUS!
